Halloween Fun!

Thursday was a first for Sam and Alexee. They both carved pumpkins for the first time and it was so much fun. Alexee tried to eat the inside of the pumpkin and she learned very fast that not everything put in front of her is good to eat. She had a blast though. Halloween was fun for the most part, besides the fact that Alexee was totally pissy all night. We didnt take her trick or treating because it was raining and she was in such a bad mood. But boy was she a knock out little red riding hood! I wish she would have smiled for at least one picture but she didnt. Sorry, i did my best to get some good pics .

Keltson Blackburn

One of my friends from high school passed away the other day. He was pretty much known by everyone and not just for being a star athlete. He was such a great example and everything I hope my boys can be. Below is his obituary. I hope that when I die people can say such nice things about me...

Keltson Gene Blackburn 5/22/1989 ~ 10/11/2008 HERRIMAN- On Sunday, October 11, 2008, our most beloved and cherished Keltson was called home to his Heavenly Father. Keltson passed away in a car accident on his way home from the best week of his life, doing what he loved most - being on his horse in the mountains of Wayne County. Keltson was larger than life! Everything he did was full of energy and exuberance. Keltson never did anything halfway. He was a young man of many talents and abilities. Keltson knew the value of hard work and was an exceptional worker. He loved riding horses on his Grandpa Charles farm, hunting with his uncles, hiking, wrestling and other sports, reading, singing, texting to all his many friends, hanging out with his Grandma Alyce, and being with his family. His many accomplishments include being an Eagle Scout, President of the Acappella Choir at Riverton High School, member of the Madrigals, Region Champion in Wrestling, and his most recent adventure would have been serving in the Charlotte, North Carolina Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He leaves this earth just six weeks before entering the MTC, now he serves his mission on the other side. He will be a stalwart servant for the Lord. Keltson was the best big brother to his adoring sisters and the most fun-loving cousin always taking time to play swords and legos with them. Keltson was the center of all our lives. His arms of friendship reached out to people from one end of the state to the other. To all his dear friends that are mourning, we send our love and comfort. He loved his best friend Miles, together they could conquer anything. When Keltson left, he took with him a piece of all our hearts. Keltson is survived by his parents Kerry and Amara Blackburn, his sisters Kassidy and Kara Blackburn all of Herriman; his grandparents Charles and Janee Blackburn of Loa; Jeff Mutter of Layton and Alyce Mutter, of Kearns; also by many caring and loving uncles, aunts, and beloved cousins. Farewell our precious son, thank you for allowing us the privilege of being your parents. "Till we meet again."

Saturday Fun

Yesterday Stacy asked if she could take us to lunch for Sam's birthday so we met her and Justin at the Applebee's in the Gateway. It was very good to sit and talk with them and catch up. I took some pictures of Alexee on our way to the Gateway and at lunch. I had to put them on here. Enjoy!!!
